It would be great to add Notes to Flows and Steps. This would allow us to get rid of additional plantuml sequence diagrams.

Personally, just allow notes to be added anywhere. I want to add multiple notes to a diagram to add context.

Jacob Shadbolt yes, but they are comments that allow for feedback on the comment and are titled "idea".... indicating that it is not a note but something that may or may not happen. They are not the same as permanent notes that add context a part of the diagram that needs it.
I am using it as a workaround as there is no actual "notes" field I can add.
I've just realised, they don't "print" either so are not appropriate at all

I typically want to be able to add the following.
-Details describing nature of the and any relevant context flow beyond just title.
-The ability to add links the flow (i.e. link to a business process document or a technical standard that dictates the structure of the flow in conjunction with the underlying architecture).
-The ability to tag or otherwise group flows.
-The ability to note whether the flow is Live, Future, Deprecated, or Removed.

I imagined a basic "sticky note" style where you can drop free text and place it in a custom location. It's the one thing that lucid chart has that I miss here.

Hi sorry for the late answer.

I thought about 2 things :

Flow step note/description (not a description of the connexion, but a description that is linked to a flow, so if two flows are using the same connexion, they can have different description over that step) (not visual, for the purpose of the makers)
Floating notes, that either stays for the entire flow or just for a step (visual cues that describe things visually)

Jacob Shadbolt I would like to add sticky notes to the diagrams just in general and to associate these notes with any kind of objects or connections. Don't forget to add a toggle to hide all notes if someone wants to see a notes-free diagram.
