Diagram navigation via a collapsable tree structure

Instead of the current menu-driven nav (see screenshot), provide navigation via a collapsable tree structure. E.g. (but pardon the formatting!),
Foo
- Level 1
-- Level 1 diagram 1
- Level 2
-- Level 2 diagram 1
-- Level 2 diagram 2
-- Level 2 diagram 3
- Level 3
-- Level 3 diagram 1
-- Level 3 diagram 2
Bar
- Level 1

In the diagram view, one option can be nettable diagrams, another option can be to group diagrams into folders. It would greatly simplify the organization, search and administration of diagrams. Example of organizing by folders...
+ Domain XXX folder (Depth 0)
| -> Domain Diagram
| + YYY Product Folder (Depth 1)
| | -> Product Diagram
| | + AAA Application Folder (Depth 2)
| | | -> Component Diagram
| | | -> Infrastructure Diagram
| | + BBB Application Folder (Depth 2)
| | | -> Component Diagram
| | | -> Infrastructure Diagram

Thanks for the note Brian Wortman, what's the main benefit you see from this? What does this help solve?
Brian Wortman
Tim Gaweco There's no easy way we know of to go directly from 'Foo Level 2 diagram 3' to 'Foo Level 3 diagram 2', for example.
